To create awareness on safeguarding the environment from the harmful consequences of Single-Use Plastic, Environment and Social Development Organization-ESDO organised an awareness campaign on 16th January 2021 in association with PSF, GAIA and IPEN. The campaign took place in five different locations of Dhaka City (Haitrjheel, Press Club, TSC, NEW Market and Parliament). The awareness campaign focuses on the signature for mass support, educating people about the harmful effects of single used plastic products, highlighting sustainable, available and affordable alternatives that form the key to tackling the problem. Also, IEC materials have been distributed for encouraging people to use alternative products to reduce the harmful impacts of single-use plastics on human health and the environment. Significantly, huge public supports have been gathered and 629 signatures are collected in a day.
