What We Do

Developing a framework for the evolution of rules and policies with the participation of key stakeholders in the sustainable single-use plastic waste management and ultimately Ban SUP in Bangladesh

HIDDEN COSTS OF HEALTH & ENVIRONMENT

“Bangladeshis throw away about 87,000 tonnes
of single-use plastic every year, about 96% of
which is from food and personal care products
packaging. About 33% of the total of these wastes are sachets, which are completely non-recyclable. Most single-use plastics used in Bangladesh are not disposed of properly, and so they end up in the landfills, lakes, rivers, or in the ocean”.
